Privacy Policy

kukku is a personal recipe book. We store the recipes, photos, and grocery lists you save so you can access them — that's it. We don't run ads, we don't use tracking, and we never sell your data. You can permanently delete your account and everything in it from inside the app at any time.

Account: your email address and a password (stored only as a secure hash by our authentication provider). Optionally a display name, bio, and profile photo if you add them.

Your content: recipes you save or import, photos you upload, and your grocery lists.

We don't collect analytics identifiers, advertising IDs, location, or contacts.

When you import a recipe — from a link, a photo, a description, or a video — the content you submit is processed by AI services to extract the recipe (see "Service providers"). It is used only to perform the import you asked for, then the result is stored in your account. Your content is never used to train models by us, and we send it only to providers under agreements that restrict its use to providing the service.

kukku runs on a small set of infrastructure providers that process data on our behalf:

• Supabase — authentication, database, and file storage (your account and content live here)
• Vercel — web hosting
• OpenAI — recipe extraction from pages, photos, and text you import
• Google (Gemini) — recipe extraction from videos you import
• Replicate — generating a recipe image when you ask for one

We do not sell your personal information — not your email, not your recipes, not your photos, not anything — to advertisers, data brokers, or anyone else. We also don't share it for advertising or marketing purposes. Your data exists to run your recipe book, nothing more.

We use only the cookies required to keep you signed in. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Your data is kept until you delete it. Deleting a recipe removes it and its photos. Deleting your account (Profile → Delete account) permanently removes your account, recipes, photos, and grocery lists. This is immediate and cannot be undone. You can also email us (below) to request deletion.

All traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Data is stored with our providers using industry-standard protections, and access to your content is enforced per-account at the database level.

kukku is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.

If this policy changes materially, we'll update this page and the date above. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
